Today marks the highlight of your journey —a gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park. Your journey continues as you arrive at Wilderness Magashi in Akagera National Park. After settling into your luxurious tented suite, you'll embark on an afternoon game drive to witness the park's diverse wildlife. You'll start your day with an early morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. You'll have the chance to see the Big Five —lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo —along with other iconic African animals like Masai giraffes and Burchell's zebras. After lunch at the camp, you'll embark on a boat safari on Lake Rwanyakazinga. This experience allows you to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a myriad of water birds, including the rare shoebill stork.
