Day 1. Nyungwe national park
You'll begin your adventure with a scenic drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Upon arrival, you'll check into the luxurious One&Only Nyungwe House, nestled within a working tea plantation on the edge of one of Africa's oldest rainforests. You'll settle into your elegant accommodations and prepare for the exciting days ahead. In the evening, you might enjoy a guided nocturnal spotlighting and stargazing session.

Day 2. Chimpanzee tracking
After an early breakfast, you'll embark on a chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe National Park. Led by experienced guides, you'll venture into the lush rainforest in search of our closest living relatives. Following lunch at the lodge, you can experience the park from a different perspective with a thrilling canopy walk: suspended high above the forest floor, you'll have the opportunity to spot various primates, birds, and insects from a unique vantage point.

Day 3. Tea plantation tour
You'll start your day by exploring the secrets of African tea. You'll learn the art of picking tea leaves and discover the methods of growing and processing, culminating in a tasting session. In the afternoon, you'll board a helicopter for a breathtaking flight to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, you'll check into the stunning One&Only Gorilla's Nest, your luxurious base for gorilla trekking adventures.

Day 4. Gorilla trekking
Today marks the highlight of your journey —a gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park. After an early briefing, you'll hike through bamboo forests to spend an unforgettable hour with a family of mountain gorillas. In the afternoon, you'll visit the Iby'Iwacu cultural village to experience traditional Rwandan culture, including performances by former gorilla hunters turned eco-warriors.

Day 5. Akagera National Park
Your journey continues as you arrive at Wilderness Magashi in Akagera National Park. After settling into your luxurious tented suite, you'll embark on an afternoon game drive to witness the park's diverse wildlife. As the sun sets, you will enjoy a night drive, offering a unique opportunity to spot nocturnal animals like leopards, hyenas, and bush babies. The day concludes with a delightful dinner under the starlit African sky.

Day 6. full day Akagera national Park
You'll start your day with an early morning game drive, when wildlife is most active. You'll have the chance to see the Big Five —lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo —along with other iconic African animals like Masai giraffes and Burchell's zebras. After lunch at the camp, you'll embark on a boat safari on Lake Rwanyakazinga. This experience allows you to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a myriad of water birds, including the rare shoebill stork. As evening approaches, you'll participate in a sundowner experience set for you by the camp staff.

Day 7. walking safari
Today, you'll experience Akagera from a different perspective with a guided walking safari. This intimate encounter with nature allows you to discover the smaller wonders of the park, from insects and reptiles to medicinal plants and animal tracks. In the afternoon, you will engage in a conservation activity, such as tracking and monitoring lions or rhinos using identikits, contributing to vital research efforts. You'll end your day with a traditional Rwandan-themed dinner, celebrating the local culture and cuisine.

Day 8. Departure
On your last morning at Magashi, you will enjoy a farewell game drive, soaking in the beauty of Akagera one last time.
