This tour takes you to the stunning country of Uganda, known as the ``Pearl of Africa`` for its stunning greenery, deep lakes, and soaring mountains. You will have the opportunity to visit Bwindi National Park, home to half of the world's remaining mountain gorilla population. You will have the chance to go on gorilla treks to track down these magnificent mammals in their natural habitat and observe their surprisingly human-like interactions. You will also have the opportunity to participate in local cultural experiences, such as the coffee brew experience or the Batwa-pygmies. On the final day of the tour, you will enjoy a scenic drive through the hills and valleys of Uganda, with a stop at the Equator for a photo opportunity before transferring to the airport for your international departure.

TRANSFER TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK | DESIGN YOUR DAY
Flight to Bwindi and check into your permanent tented campsite in the mist-swathed mountains of the park, enjoying some time at leisure. Later venture into an activity of your choice by either enjoying the oddly satisfying local coffee brew experience or by immersing yourself into a cultural experience with the Batwa Pygmy population in Uganda.

Set off on gorilla treks to track down the magnificent mammals at their most natural, a rare sight experienced by only the most fortunate. Upon sighting the endangered mountain gorillas, spend up to an hour with these fascinating creatures and observing their surprisingly human-like interactions. Return to the hotel with time to relax and enjoy the amenities of your luxurious accommodation in the evening, or set out on another guided village hike.

Visit the rural village of Bwindi to see how the community has partnered with Tour Sokoni Philanthropy to grow a remote medical outpost into a thriving health care oasis serving 100,000 Ugandans. After a tour of the children’s ward and maternity wing, meet the local nursing school’s students and explore their learning lab, gaining insights into their training and inspiring personal goals.
Tour Sokoni PHILANTHROPY VISIT: EBENEZER PRIMARY SCHOOL
Visit with the students and staff of Ebenezer Primary School, learning how the local community has partnered with Tour Sokoni Philanthropy to provide a safe learning environment for the local children. Your visit bears witness to a project in its infancy, providing an unvarnished glimpse into the challenges faced all too often by rural African communities such as this.
