What should I expect on a gorilla tracking excursion?
The day starts really early. You will rise from your cozy lodge nestled amidst the emerald hills of Uganda’s mountainous west. You will then enjoy a hearty breakfast in the lodge’s dining area and proceed to don appropriate clothing in long sleeves and long trousers tucked into your socks for the utmost protection against any nefarious insects and sharp foliage. Upon arrival at the park you will set out on their gorilla tracking excursion, accompanied by experienced guides and trackers. You may come upon pre-arranged clearings, and there, amidst a tapestry of ferns and moss-covered rocks, and there, amid clues of — footprints, gnawed bamboo, dung you might catch a first glimpse of a gorilla family.
What should I pack for my trip to Uganda?

Can a private viewing be arranged with only myself, the guides, and the gorilla?

Gorilla trekking experiences are usually conducted in small groups with a maximum of 6 visitors for one hour per gorilla family, per day. With such a limited time private Gorilla viewing experiences are not possible.
Will I need vaccination before travelling to Uganda?
All travelers visiting Uganda must have received a yellow fever vaccination at least 10 days before their arrival. You must carry an International Certificate of Vaccination issued by your physician, as failure to do so may result into denial of entry. Proof of yellow fever vaccination may also be requested upon departure from Uganda. Furthermore, applicants must upload a copy of their International Certificate of Vaccination when applying for a tourist visa to Uganda.
